Bird baths can also bring an ornamental element to your garden. I love putting them in my flower beds for an added attraction. Bird baths don’t have to be expensive or fancy! DIY bird baths are some of the best kind! But, you don’t have to scrimp on looks either!
Bird baths are not only ornamental, they provide a source of water for birds which will help attract them to your property. If you practice organic gardening, you probably already know birds play an important role in the insect population. You will want to provide water, along with any bird food you put out, for them. This is a really simple DIY Bird Bath that is so easy to do! Once set up, you will be enjoying some new friends! Who knows, maybe you will have a rare sighting!
DIY Bird Bath using Terra Cotta Flower Pots
Items you will need:
Super Glue or Gorilla Glue
4-5 Terracotta Pots in varying sizes
1 Large Terracotta Saucer
Paint each pot in color(s) of choice and allow to dry for 24 hours.
Once dry, stack pots starting with the largest pot top down, adding a few drops of glue to the inner lip of each smaller pot.
Secure the top saucer with a good helping of glue to ensure it stays secure.
Fill with water and enjoy the birds.
