Over the last few years I’ve made it a priority to watch what I eat. Fast food is such an easy temptation to fall prey to, especially with our fast paced life and crazy schedules. With a little strategic planning it is possible to avoid the pitfall! By eating healthier foods and combining the exercise I get from taking care of all my furbabies, I’ve met my goal of becoming a happier, healthier person. The struggle to find the right foods has not always been easy. Not every grocery store is the same, nor do they stock the same products. This makes it hard to find the organic foods that I’ve come to love. That’s where Fresh n’ Lean Delivery Service comes in!
Fresh n’ Lean makes eating healthy, organic foods easy and stress free. With their meal delivery service, I don’t have to think about anything anymore. The worry of finding that my local grocery store won’t have the organic products I want has completely vanished. Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
The Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal is a tasty healthy meal that will fuel you up for the day. It smells delicious while it’s cooking too! The dates and almonds provide just the right amount of crunch with the creamy smoothness of the oatmeal. This was a favorite of mine for breakfast!
Ingredients: gluten free rolled oats, dates, raisin, apples, coconut milk, vanilla, cinnamon, grade b maple syrup,
coconut oil, almonds and sea salt.
Mixed Berry Chia Pudding
Chia seeds are loaded with health benefits. They are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients, plus they provide fiber. By combining chia seeds with delicious raspberries, blueberries and coconut milk it makes this another favorite dish that not only taste good, but is good for you!
Ingredients: chia seed, raspberry, blueberry, black berry, coconut milk, grade b maple syrup, vanilla extract and sea salt.
Eggplant Artichoke Pasta
I really didn’t know what to expect from this dish. However, it smelled delicious making me want to dig right in. I was surprised to find that I really liked it! The textures of the pasta and veggies were just the right combination and it provided a great hearty meal.
Ingredients: brown rice pasta, kale, eggplant, cherry tomato, brocollini, onion, kalamata olive, artichoke heart,
tomato, parsley, garlic, nutritional yeast, red pepper flakes, black pepper and sea salt.
Savory Chickpea Stew with Roasted Eggplant
The Savory Chipea Stew with Roasted Eggplant had a good flavor. However, I have to say, this was my least favorite of all the meals. The roasted vegetables were yummy, however the meal had a little to many chickpeas for me. I know chickpeas are good for you, but the overabundance of them in the recipe made the meal seem almost dry. The meal would be much better with only half the chickpeas.
Ingredients: chickpea, dino kale, eggplant, cauliflower, tomato, shitake mushroom, thyme, nutritional yeast, garlic, onion, coconut oil, italian seasoning, black pepper, sea salt.
Southern Vegetable Beans
The Southern Vegetable Beans is another yummy dish! I love black eyed peas and their flavor melded with the kale and broccoli just perfectly. I have to put this one at the top of my favorites list!
Ingredients: black eyed peas, celery, onion, carrot, kale, broccoli, sweet potato, cumin, garlic, cinnamon, rosemary, smoked paprika, ginger, coconut oil, tumeric, black pepper, sea salt.
Adzuki Bean Macro Bowl
The adzuki bean macro bowl was a mysterious one to me. While I love brown rice, I had never heard of adzuki beans. You learn something new everyday though! I loved the flavor of this one. It also made a great hearty meal that fills you up. I will have to make it a point to learn more about the delicious adzuki beans!
Ingredients: adzuki bean, brown rice, dino kale, sesame seed, sesame oil, onion, carrot, yellow squash, sweet potato, garlic, coconut oil, black pepper and sea salt.
Country Lentils & Vegetable Soup
The Country Lentils & Vegetable Soup is not much to look at, but let me assure you – it taste a lot better than it looks! Lentils are a great source of nutrients and are packed with fiber and protein. So, if you are looking for a protein source, this is the perfect dish!
Ingredients: green lentils, spinach, cauliflowr, celery, onion, carrot, tomato, nutritional yeast, garlic, sweet
basil, parsley, thyme, coconut oil, black pepper and sea salt.
YUMMY! This Hearty Granola has to be placed on top of my favorite list too! It comes with 2 servings in the tray and is great served with almond milk. I loved the flavors of the almond, walnuts and sunflowers combined with the rolled oats. Another great meal to jump start the day with!
Ingredients: organic gluten free rolled oats, organic walnut, organic almond, organic sunflower seed, organic vanilla extract and organic grade b maple syrup.
