My granddaughter and I enjoy shopping at Walmart together. We talk, giggle over her evaluation of various products on the shelves, and enjoy our extra bonding time. This month we are shopping for her school supplies and materials to go back to school. School is especially important this year, and I’m happy to see her excited to return.
As we arrived at Walmart with our shopping list of school supplies in hand, we headed across the hot parking lot to the cool insides of the store. Kailey was chattering happily about her school list and eager to see the selections.
Before we made it to the school supplies, we passed the grocery department and the freezer cases. I knew we would be tired and hungry when we left, so I wanted to go ahead and grab something for an easy meal at home. Kailey is six, and like most children her age, her favorite meal includes Tyson® Chicken Nuggets.
I didn’t argue with her request because I also enjoy their exceptional taste and convenience. Tyson® Chicken Nuggets contains 100% natural ingredients and all-white meat chicken. They are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside making the act of biting into them alone pleasing — but there is more! This week I learned that I have another great reason to buy Tyson® Chicken Nuggets. This year, I’m not only buying select Tyson® products for their convenience and exceptional taste, but also because they are part of the Tyson Project A+™ program!
The Tyson Project A+™ program is one of the simplest ways I can help support my granddaughter’s school and other schools in my community. The Tyson Project A+™ program asks that I [and you] just clip and collect Tyson Project A+™ labels from Tyson® participating packages. For every label submitted, Tyson will give the school cash and the school can use the money for whatever it needs. See an example of where to find the label below and learn more HERE.
After our trip to Walmart, Kailey was excited to tell her dad about the Tyson Project A+™ program so he could start clipping the labels! Her goal is to make sure her school takes full advantage of this opportunity (earning the maximum amount permitted, $12,000.) This means she made him return to Walmart to buy more Tyson® Chicken Nuggets for her home too. I don’t think he minded, since he knows they are an easy and quick way to put a delicious fun meal on the table that she loves!
Can your School Make an A+ this year? The Tyson Project A+™ program is open to all accredited schools, preschool through grade 12, in the United States — including public, private, parochial, homeschool, and early childhood education and day care centers. It also includes military schools in the continental U.S. and overseas.
Walmart is going to help five schools get a head start at making an A+.
