Our friend Jess has three little boys and when we had a chance to try out these educational BathBlocks toys, who better to give their opinion? This is what she has to say about them:
I have three boys and they love playing rough outdoors and indoors. I try to make their playtime a little creative, but I sometimes fall short. Recently, I have been looking for educational toys for them to use in the bathtub. It’s like the only place I can keep their attention. The boys were super excited when I told them I had a new toy for them to try. My oldest is my block builder, so he was super thrilled when he found out he’d be trying out a new set of BathBlocks from Just Think Toys!
BathBlocks bring classic block play into a fun, new, fascinating watery environment. The bathtub is the perfect place to create waterslides, ball runs, floating towns and more. The “sticky” viscosity of water creates a helpful cling between blocks, and the movement, buoyancy and flow of water add an engaging twist to classic block play.
WaterBlocks empower children to create their vision and build STEM skills (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) as they experiment with geometry, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, balance, structure and cause-effect.
We opened the package and the BathBlocks were super simple to get out of the package. I was surprised at how many BathBlocks came with the set. The more the merrier! I can attest to the fact that these blocks are very simple, but there is so much that can be done with them.
I love how my 6 year old looked at the box to try and put it together just like the picture. While he is more set on “following directions” my other boys just enjoyed playing with them in general.
My kids were also super excited to see that the soapier they got the blocks, the better they stuck together. In my opinion, it’s important that the BathBlocks stay together because it helps the child stack the blocks and move them around as they see fit.
I’m one of those moms that DO NOT remove toys from the bathtub, so I’m super stoked that BathBlocks are made from bacteria and mildew resistant EVA and contain no PVC or phthalates.
I had to pull the kids out of the bathtub tonight and that makes me glad. If my kids can learn something even while taking a bath, why not take advantage of it?
