The holidays are here and nothing says the holidays like warm lighting. Candle holders can be expensive, but this simple DIY Snowflake Votive Holder is so easy to make and very inexpensive. It will look like a million bucks when you are finished. If you put battery operated candles in them, you won’t have any mess when its time to change out candles. You will be able to make several for the price of one, that way you can spread them around your living area, spreading the holiday cheer. One of these cute Snowflake Votive Holders would look so cute sitting beside your Countdown to Christmas Dry Erase Board I told you about the other day!
Dollar Store DIY Snowflake Votive Holder
Peel and stick snowflakes
Battery operated votive
Small glass votive holder
Optional: hot glue, glue gun
Please note that all of the supplies can be purchased at your local Dollar Tree Store.
1. Begin by placing a handful of Styrofoam snow in the votive holder. You want it to be about 1/3 of the way full.
2. Add your battery operated votive. A battery operative votive is safest for this project.
3. Peel and stick the snowflake décor to the front of the votive holder. If you wish, you can add a dab of glue to help secure the snowflake further. The snowflake is sticky already, but glue may help if you are concerned.
When you turn on your battery operated votive, it will glow through not only the snow but the snowflake making beautiful shadows.
