This recipe sounds fantastic! I’m going to substitute plain yogurt for half of the sour cream, to lighten it a bit – but it won’t take away any of the great flavor!

Thanks so much for the delicious recipe for Homemade Onion Dip from Scratch! I really love your recipe. I make it but I make it with sour cream and a package of Lipton Onion Soup mixed together and then refrigerated! Mine is too super easy! I like your way because you cook the onions and garlic and give it that home cooked flair! Thanks so much for sharing this with all of us! I truly do appreciate it! Thanks again, Michele :)

This sounds SO delicious! A far cry from that nasty salty stuff I had as a kid from the soup mix recipe, huh? :)

I love this! I notice the dried onion soups all have trans fat, so I have experimented with making my own, but this looks perfect, as mine didn’t come out that great – I’m excited to try it!
