Family Fireplace Safety Tips

The weather is still very cold here. We have been seeing temps down in the single digits and haven’t gotten to far above that. Needless to say, our heat it ginning! While we personally don’t have a fireplace, we do use a wood stove and a lot of the fireplace safety rules are still the same.

Our friends at North Shore Fireplace has shared with us a very useful guide for family fireplace safety! The guide shows how to maintain a safe fireplace inside your home by showing how to arrange your fireplace for optimal family safety, as well as what to avoid burning and how to properly dispose of the ashes. It’s a great guide that draws largely on research and resources from federal and local governments to ensure accuracy and impartiality. Check it out and stay warm and safe!
