Iced tea on a hot summer day is so refreshing. I’ve only tried to make it once.I usually buy the premade tea with lemon.

I was curious to see it this was like how I made tea. Being from the south sweet iced tea is a staple in the fridge year round. We just love it. The recipe was quite different than how I make it, I never boil my tea bags. But hey, whatever works!

I think southern Tea is way to sweet for me. My husband loves it though and of course my son. I think I should put like 2 lemons in it next time and squeeze them I think I’ll enjoy it better.

I love iced tea, especially this time of year. Thanks for the recipe and didn’t know about adding baking soda. I also like to add citrus to mine, lemons and oranges and sometimes strawberries.

Thanks so much for sharing all of these wonderful recipes with all of us! I checked out Sweet Southern Tea | #12Daysof Favorite #Recipes! I have and still do make my own iced tea by boiling the tea bags in water. I never thought about adding the sugar while your tea bags are boiling! I always let it steep and then pour it into a jug and add my sugar when I’m ready to drink it! The sugar (whether it ‘s regular cane sugar or the artificial sweeteners) do not dissolve correctly doing it when it’s cold! I just learned something new today! YAY! Thanks again for sharing this recipe and all the others with all of us! I truly do appreciate it! Thanks again! Michele :)

I like iced tea. I have had the sweet tea and although it tastes good, it isn’t as refreshing. Too much sugar.
