Creating a Coffee Care Package for a College Student #WhatsBrewingOnCampus

One of my closest friends just spent two days helping her young adult, child, adjust to her new dorm at an amazing college. Her social media pages were flooded with beautiful photos of the campus and welcome ceremonies and events. My friends daughter had chosen to do her dorm room in a red, black, and white color scheme. Knowing she didn’t have a coffee machine, and keeping with the decor colors of her room, we chose the black Keurig® K200 for her package. Once we had our coffee brewing machine picked out, it was time to choose all the goodies to go with it!

Next, we picked up a couple of her favorite flavors of coffee – the Green Mountain Breakfast Blend and the Original Donut Shop Coffee. Later, we planned on sending some tea and hot chocolate, but this would give her a great start.

Of course she would need mugs and we were able to find those in a color that matched her dorm colors perfectly! And, of course, who doesn’t need a travel mug?! We also added in some creamy chocolate and hazelnut creamers, along with some honey knowing these were her favorite coffee additions. We wanted to give it a more homey feel, so we put our creamers into jelly jars. We added chalk labels to the front of the jars and a bit of construction paper to the top to dress the jars up a bit. We then added in some spoons for dipping her creamers and to use as stir sticks.

We believe she is going to be over the moon with her coffee care package! She will be able to set up her own coffee bar right in her dorm room! No more waiting to run out to the coffee shop and she will be better able to stay within her college budget!
