Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats

When it comes to monsters, Frankenstein’s story has always captivated me. He was created by a human, but completely misunderstood. That’s why when I came across this Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats recipe it piqued my interest in a special way. I was compelled to make my own “grotesque but sentient creature” in an unorthodox kitchen experiment. (I rarely make treats containing sugar for my kids. But hey, it’s Halloween, all bets are off.)

We are blessed with living in a neighborhood where everyone knows everyone else – so homemade treats are embraced. In fact a bunch of the neighborhood kids and moms came over to help me with these creations. So much love was poured into these little monsters – I think you can even taste the spirit of community infused into each one. With a bag and a bit of ribbon this is one that the kids just may remember for a lifetime!

I used the adorable Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats recipe from Clean and Scentsible. Head over there to get the complete recipe and directions. Meanwhile…

Check out the Frankenstein Rice Krispie Treats we created! Aren’t they cute?!
