DIY Heart Pillow | Easy Step by Step Tutorial

When it comes to gifts, homemade gifts are the ones I love the best! They are a work of love. Today, I have a really cute and easy DIY Heart Pillow to show you! It really is a super simple craft but it comes out absolutely adorable! Whether this heart pillow is made as a gift for a loved one or to reside on your living room couch, you can’t deny how cute it is!

DIY Heart Pillow | Easy Step by Step Tutorial

DIY Heart Pillow

Supplies Needed:

Plain Pillow of your choice (I used burlap because of the wide weave)
Doll Needle
Red Ribbon, not something too wide as you will have to thread it through your pillow fabric
Scissors
Paper
Straight pins

Directions:

Take your piece of paper and fold it in half length wise and draw a half of a heart.

Cut it out and unfold it to get your full heart shape.

This can be a trial and error method in order to end up with the size and shape of heart you want. Keep in mind the size of your pillow.

Once you get a heart size and shape that you’re satisfied with, pin it in the center of your pillow with the straight pins.

Thread your doll needle with your ribbon.

Starting at the bottom of the heart, weave in and out of the fabric with your needle and thread following the shape of your heart. Be sure to leave excess ribbon at the start and finish.

Follow the pattern until you reach where you started.

Finish by tying a bow!
