DIY Makeup Remover and Toner

Most of ladies have a night time routine where we remove our makeup and wash our face. Honestly, I try to remove my makeup when I wear it, but I am so guilty of sleeping with it on. EEK, I know – it’s bad! Anyway, I’m curious. What kind of makeup remover do you use? There is an array of make up removers on the market, but most of them contain unwanted chemicals, not to mention they can be very pricey! Have you ever thought about making your own? Well, today I wanted to tell you about this amazing, and easy, DIY Makeup Remover and Toner!

Not only does is this DIY Makeup Remover gently remove your makeup, it helps soften the skin. It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth! As an added bonus, you can make it for a fraction of the cost of store bought! Try it out and let me know what you think!

DIY Makeup Remover and Toner

Supplies:

Clean jar or container with a lid
Cotton rounds
Measuring cup
1 cup hot water
2 Tablespoons coconut oil
1 pump, or half a teaspoon, baby wash
1 Tablespoon witch hazel
3 drops lavender essential oil

Directions:

Stuff your jar with a stack of cotton rounds.

Place the baby wash, coconut oil, witch hazel, and lavender essential oil in a glass measuring cup, and and fill with hot water to the 1 cup line.

Stir until the coconut oil is melted.

Then pour into the jar filled with cotton rounds. Not all of the liquid will fit inside the jar. Store remainder with the lid on.

4. When it’s time to remove your makeup, just pull out a cotton round and gently squeeze out the excess liquid before using, and you’re ready to go!
