Glass Dharma Glass Straws are a Fun, Beautiful Way to be Eco-Friendly! #Review #ChristmasSK15

When it comes to recycling, being eco-friendly, and reducting chemicals and toxins in our lives sometimes it is the simplest things that can make a biggest impact. At the same time, sometimes those simple things can be fun and beautiful! I started a while ago trying to eliminate plastic containers from my home because of the toxins and chemicals they leach into our food. But, who would stop and think about their plastic straws? Do you know that plastic straws leach those same chemicals and toxins? And, what do you think happens to them when you throw them away? How many plastic straws do you think you throw away in a years time? I admit it’s not something I would normally be thinking about. But, now that I have went there, let me tell you about a BEAUTIFUL must-have solution – Glass Dharma Glass Straws!

Glass Dharma is doing their part to help the environment and there is no mistaking that their glass straws are simply gorgeous! But, before I tell you about the straws, let me introduce you to this amazing company.

About Glass Dharma

GlassDharma’s mission is to create world-wide awareness about single use plastics and how damaging plastic straws are to our environment. Glass Straws provide an alternative that eliminates the need for straws made from plastic. Their focus is to do what they can do and what they do best. Single use plastics are not only one of the biggest contributors to plastic pollution, it is also one of the easiest issues to remedy – at least when it comes to stopping the pollution. Cleaning up what is already there is another topic for discussion. Their company’s focus is on drinking straws.

You may be thinking a few plastic straws never hurt anything. But, stop and think! We have literally millions of people going through the drive-thru ordering cokes, tea, etc. – all being served with a plastic straw! And, what about in our homes? Being someone that uses straws on a daily basis, I was guilty of buying packages of straws for our home. Now imagine all those plastic straws piling up in the landfills! Yikes! Not a pretty picture is it? And, not a good legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren!

Glass Dharma Glass Straws: A Beautiful Alternative to Plastic Straws

Mixed Berry Smoothie featuring Glass Dharma Decorative Dot Glass Straw

I start each of my days with a smoothie. Not only are smoothies quick and easy, they are also a healthy way to start the day! I enjoy my smoothies while I make a to-do list of things I want to get done for the day – or is that a list of things I WON’T get done? :) Is it my imagination or does the glass straws make the smoothie taste even better?

If I need to take my smoothie on the go, the Glass Dharma glass straws fit perfectly in my carry mug! It’s so much nicer than using a flimsy plastic straw!

Benefits of using Glass Dharma Glass Straws

•Glass straws don’t leach toxins into your food as you drink.
•Each time you use your glass straw equals one less plastic straw ending up in your landfill.
•One glass straw replaces thousands of plastic straws. (How many times will you use a straw the rest of your life?)
•Using your glass drinking straw adds a feeling of beauty to your day.
•Made of borosilicate tubing and is the strongest glass commercially available.

The Glass Dharma glass straws come in different diameters and lengths. And, some of them come with a cleaning brush. The ones with the brush will be noted and/or marked on the box.

I have the Beautiful Bend, Green Decorative Dot, the Shorty, and a Smoothie Straw which is 12mm diameter, making it nice if you like extra thick smoothies! My favorites are the Decorative Dot and the Beautiful Bend!

Besides being toxin and chemical free, Glass Dharma glass straws are a hostess’s dream! Why serve your guest with ordinary plastic straws, when you can dress up drinks with a beautiful eco-friendly glass straw?!

On a side note, when you get your Glass Dharma Glass Straws (I know you will want to :) ) give this SUPER EASY, and DELICIOUS Mixed Berry Smoothie a try!

I love my glass straws and I promise that once you try them, you won’t go back! And, before you ask, I have tried metal straws which are eco-friendly but I hated them! Metal straws leave a metallic taste in my mouth. Glass straws let me experience the true flavors of my drink, while protecting me from chemicals and toxins. In addition, I am doing my part by not contributing to the plastic straws piling up in our landfills.

Glass Dharma glass straws are backed by a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If they don’t meet your expectations, just return them for a full refund. They are also covered with an unbelievable Lifetime Guarantee Against Breakage! This means that if they ever break, they will replace them – FREE! And, if I forgot to mention, they are made right here in the USA!

Want to try Glass Dharma glass straws?

The glass straws would also make a beautiful gift for family and friends and encourage them to be eco-friendly too! Together, we can lessen the impact of plastic straws on our landfills! I love smoothies with berries, full of antioxidants. I always buy the organic berries, and have them in the freezer all year long.

I’d love to try a glass straw. I love glass, I don’t think it’s being used enough. If all the food products packaged in plastic was packaged in glass, people could recycle the glass or use them in projects. Plastic is reused less than glass…at least that’s how I see things. Also the recipe sounds great, I’ll have to try it sometime.
