Turkey Pretzels are Perfect for a Fun Thanksgiving Treat!

Holidays and food just seem to go together, or at least they do at my house. Not only do we cook up feast for the main meals, it’s all about yummy desserts and fun Fall treats. Check out these totally cute Turkey Pretzels! Kids and adults alike will love them! Not only are they adorable, they are delicious! They combine the salty taste of pretzels with the sweetness of chocolate – YUM!

Turkey Pretzels

Ingredients & Supplies:

Pretzels
Brown Candy Melts
Sprinkles – choose fall colored sprinkles or plain chocolate sprinkles
Miniature Oreos
Orange Tic Tacs
Candy Eyes
Black Decorating Gel
Red Writing Icing

Instructions:

Prepare your workspace by spreading a sheet of parchment paper over your counter. Parchment paper is amazing and will help to keep your workspace clean as nothing will stick to it!

Melt the brown candy melts according to package instructions.

Using a knife, cut your Tic Tacs in half. This will become your turkey’s beak.

Using the black decorating gel, place a dot on the back of two candy eyes. Attach them to a mini Oreo.

Attach one of your Tic Tac halves to the cookie under the eyes.

Using the red writing ice, draw a small line from the beak down off the cookie for the wattle. Set your turkey face aside.

Dip a pretzel in the brown candy coating.

Place on the parchment paper and working quickly, add a turkey face to the bottom center area of the pretzel.

Then add sprinkles to the rest of the turkey.

You can do all brown sprinkles.

Or, you can use orange, or colored, sprinkles.

Allow to sit for the candy coating to harden.

Enjoy!

These are so cute. I always enjoy a sweet-salty mixture. I don’t have kids here anymore. I think my husband would think I totally lost it if I made these.
