If you love apples, caramel, and graham crackers you will love this treat! Chocolate Caramel Apple Bites have a nice crunch from the graham cracker and crisp yet moist apple. Top it with the sweetness of the caramel apple frosting and it makes a quick, inexpensive appetizer or snack. It is similar to the Caramel Apple Nachos except the melted frosting helps create the caramel flavor without all of the work of melting caramels. The Chocolate Caramel Apple Bites also look amazing and guests won’t be able to keep their fingers off of them!
Chocolate Caramel Apple Bites
Ingredients:
Fresh Apples
Chocolate Graham Crackers
Pillsbury Creamy Supreme Caramel Apple Frosting
Ground Cinnamon for dusting
Directions:
Break Apart Graham Crackers
One rectangle yields four appetizers. Place graham crackers on a flat surface.
Thinly slice apples.
I use my apple cutter to create 8 large wedges, and then I cut each of those wedges into 3-4 thin slices.
Place one apple slice onto each of the graham crackers.
Place a large dollop of frosting into a microwave safe dish. Microwave frosting for 5 seconds. Stir and repeat if necessary. Consistency should drip off of spoon, but not be too runny. If it is too runny, let set and stir to cool and thicken.
Drizzle melted frosting onto each appetizer.
Dust with ground cinnamon and serve.
Enjoy!
